Membership

Membership is available in two categories

1 Full membership, for those who wish to participate in all activities of the Society.(members under 16 must be accompanied by an adult)

2 Social membership, for those who wish to select the activities or who cannot attend on a regular basis

Full members will receive priority booking for organised activities.

Social members would be able to attend social events but would be expected to contribute the full cost of all other activities.

 Full membership is £15 per annum and social membership is £5 per annum. (Attendance fees of £1 per week would collected from those engaged in the modelling activities)

The main meetings are held on Tuesday evenings between 7pm and 9-30pm. members may also use the premise at other times.

Many members have their own layouts in various scales and gauges such as 00, H0, N, 0-16.5. The majority of layouts are based on British practice but some members have constructed layouts that conform to Continental or American practices.

Several members have exhibited their layouts as guests of other model railway clubs around the country and have had layouts featured in the model railway press.
