Member’s layouts include
 

Loch Oran, N Gauge. Operating space 18ft by 8ft. Constructed by David Harrison, BARMATES member

This layout is based on the West Highland Line in the very early part of the 21st century. It is loosely based on the junction at Crianlarich.

The main features of the layout are:- Highland scenery, a typical West Highland station, a small village, and Loch Oran

An aritcle appeared in the December 2009 issue of Railway Modeller under the title West Highland Evocation.

Loch Oran is booked to appear at the following shows during 2010

Bradford 27-28th March, Cleethorpes 8-9 May, Scarborough (at Pickering) 21-22 August,

Halifax 25-26 September

Nidderdale A 00 gauge layout in a garden shed 10ft by 10ft

The layout is being constructed in member Neil Taylor’s garden shed. The layout consists of a double loop with a mainline station and an engine shed and some goods sidings. Neil is also building a tram depot. A small town scene has been made in one corner of the shed and Neil has plans to build a canal and a dock basin.
